I have a long-standing interest in Old Norse literature, but for several years, I was active mainly as a translator to Estonian of Old Norse literary works. In 2014, while working in University of Tartu, Professor Daniel Sävborg and I succeeded in securing research funds for project PUT479: 'Encountering the Otherworld in Medieval Nordic Literature: New Perspectives' which was to run from 01.01.2014 to 31.12.2017. From summer 2014 to the end of August 2015 (when I left for UCL) I was therefore employed as a research fellow for this project. The main outputs include two articles in edited volumes, several conference papers and participation in the organisation of research events.
